We are delighted that you have selected Covenant Sitters to introduce you to the finest families in Charleston and surrounding areas. We take great pride in being large enough to offer excellent job opportunities, and small enough to take a personal interest in you and your well-being. Our support and involvement does not stop when you accept a position.

We are here for you during the interviewing and negotiation process, while you are working, and through the ups and downs of adjusting to being a working member of your new family. We have many opportunities NOW, and are happy you have chosen our company to help you find a position. We will be calling for a personal interview as soon as we receive your application.

Nanny and Sitter applications are always welcome! Being a Nanny/Sitter is more than a job providing financial rewards. You are responsible for the care and development of the children of busy professional parents. You play an important role in their everyday lives. This experience is valuable for both you and the children you care for.

When you are part of the Covenant Sitters program, you can count on us for support to help solve any problems that might arise. Once you are placed with a family, contact with us does not stop. Our courteous staff is a phone call away.

 NANNY WORK AGREEMENT:

Our Nanny Work Agreement is a time-tested tool that clarifies your job responsibilities. When Covenant Sitters receives this completed agreement from the family you choose to work for, we review it with you and forward a copy for your records. We have found this Nanny Work Agreement solidifies the success of your placement.

EXPECTATIONS OF A QUALIFIED NANNY OR SITTER

We do have certain requirements that you must meet before you are eligible for placement with our agency. We pride ourselves in representing well-trained, fully screened, professional Nannies to our families.

1. Must be 18 years old or older.
2. Must have reliable transportation
3. Must be willing to have a Criminal Background, Sex Offender’s, Social Security, and
    DMV check
4. Must have a valid Drivers License
5. Must have a clean Criminal Background record.
6. Must have 3 + non-related childcare references.
7. CPR/First Aid certification (preferred).
8. Must be prompt and always on time
9. Must possess excellent communication skills and have an outgoing personality.
10. Must have child care experience and a strong desire to work with children.
11. Sign a 1 year work agreement commitment to the family (Nanny positions only).

NANNIES/SITTERS RESPONSIBILITIES

The nanny’s primary responsibility is childcare. A few specific tasks may include:

Newborn Care
Meal preparation for children
Dressing children
Reading to children
Supervising indoor and outdoor play
Driving to school and after school activities
Outings, field trips, creative activities
Helping with homework
Arranging play dates
Doctor visits
Traveling with family
